a free newsletter that shares resources for performers. That's how it got its name! I keep an eye out for grants that creatives can use to help fund their projects. I also keep a tab of organizations that issue emergency financial grants for performers, and I share jobs that sound cool, too.
Jamie Soltis, an actor and an employee of a nonprofit. If you're wondering whether I like the ocean; yes, I do.
probably a performer yourself! Or maybe a writer. Oh who are we kidding, this is Mom and we all know it. Love you Mom.
I'll never charge for the newsletter. But it would be awesome to make money in other ways to keep it going! I only advertise the places and items I really really like.

This blue muslin sheet is what I use for my self-tape backdrop. It has rod pockets so you can put it on a stand, but honestly I just nailed mine to a wall. 18 bucks.
I don't really do things unless they're easy, so this ring light/tripod/phone holder jawn was right up my alley. It has 3 light settings, a clamp that holds my phone, and an adjustable tripod stand. Bada bing bada boom. 30 bucks.
I don't always have access to a real live scene partner in person, so I often use my computer to read with actors virtually. I got reeeeally sick of piling books on my bed and praying that they didn't fall, so I bit the bullet and bought myself a little side table on which my laptop can serenely perch. Is it more often used as a holder for Ben and Jerry's? Who's to say. But I like it because I can slide the bottom of it under my couch so it doesn't take up too much space. Also $30.
I might be a little biased, as I work here. But hear me out! It's a very small nonprofit that provides emergency aid and relief (and food) to NYC's professional performers who are going through financial crisis.
It's been rough out there, so if you're in a donating kind of mood, every cent helps!! actorsguild.org/make-a-donation
